LOCAL RULES 7.6.2016
1. STONES IN BUNKERS
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions that may be moved without penalty (Rule 24-1 applies).
2. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Relief may be taken under rule 24-2)
All distance markers (100m, 150m) are immovable obstructions. Moving these markers is not allowed.
Fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions. If the sprinkler head or other immovable obstruction lies within two club-lengths of the putting green and in the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief as follows: When the ball lies outside the putting green, not in the hazard and within two clubs lengths of the obstruction, it can be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay that is not nearer the hole, avoids intervention and is not in a hazard or on a putting green.
Cutting waste and woodstacks in the game area are immovable obstructions.
3. AERATION HOLES
Through the green, a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green. On the putting green, a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be placed at the nearest spot not nearer the hole that avoids the situation.
4. ROADS, BRIDGES AND DRAINAGE DRUMS
All roads are immovable obstructions (Rule 24-2 applies). All bridges and the road leading to the putting green on fairway 17 are integral parts of the course (no relief without a penalty). All drainage drums in the course are integral parts of the course. If the ball lies in a drainage drum, water hazard rules are applied (no relief without a penalty).
5. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Relief may be taken under rule 25-1)
The anthills and areas defined by blue stakes are ground under repair from which play is prohibited.
6. EMBEDDED BALL
A ball that is embedded in its own pitch mark in the ground, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole.
7. DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES (rule 14-3)
A player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.
8. THE DROPPING ZONE OF FAIRWAY 2 (DZ)
If the ball lands in the lateral water hazard on fairway 2, the player may proceed under rule 26 or, drop a ball under penalty of one stroke in the dropping zone (DZ).
9. REINDEER MARKS
If the ball lies in a reindeer mark in the bunker, the ball may be lifted and dropped without penalty at the nearest point to where the ball lay that is not nearer the hole. Reindeer marks on the putting green may be repaired.
THIS LOCAL RULE ONLY APPLIES WHEN NOTIFIED, IT CAN NOT BE COMBINED TO OTHER LOCAL RULES!
PREFERRED LIES
A ball lying on a closely-mown area through the green may be lifted without penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player must mark its position. Having lifted the ball, he must place it on a spot within 15 cm (the long side of the score card) of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.
A player may place his ball only once, and it is in play when it has been placed (Rule 20-4). If the ball fails to come to rest on the spot on which it was placed, rule 20-3 applies. If the ball when placed comes to rest on the spot on which it is placed and it subsequently moves, there is no penalty and the ball must be played as it lies, unless the provisions of any other rule apply.
If the player fails to mark the position of the ball before lifting it, moves the ball-marker prior to putting the ball back into play or moves the ball in any other manner, such as rolling it with a club, he incurs a penalty of one stroke.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES
The penalty for breach of local rules: Match play: Loss of hole, Stroke play: Two strokes. When a player receives a general punishment for violating this local rule, he or she may not receive any additional local penalties.
